QuickBooks 2008 Updates Availaible Now

If you are using QuickBooks 2008, you will want to make sure that your software is up to date by downloading the newest updates from Intuit. If the release number contains R6 , then you already have the latest release. To check your release number, simply press the Control button and the number 1 on the top row of your keyboard simultaneously to open a window that will give you the current release number of your software. QuickBooks Tutorials not Compatible with Flash

Welcome to another QuickBooks Gal Minute. I'm Jayne Miller, The QuickBooks Gal. Have you downloaded a trial version of QuickBooks only to find out that you can't view the Tutorials? It turns out that the problem here is due to QuickBooks not being compatible with the newest version of Flash. Here is what you’ll need to do in order to make the flash tutorials work: 1. Use Control Panel-Add or Remove Programs to remove the current version of Adobe FP from your system 2. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and select the Flash Player 8 Package to your desktop 3. Unzip this file to your desktop to unlock the FP_8 Archive folder 4. Open this folder, then open the Players folder, and double click the SAFlashPlayer Icon to install Flash Player 8 5. Now re-open QB and your tutorials should work. Is Quick Books driving you Crazy? Employee Salary/Wage Rate Report

Welcome to another QuickBooks Gal Minute. I'm Jayne Miller, The QuickBooks Gal. Do you need to produce a report by Employee that lists only Employee Name and Wage Rate? In QuickBooks that's easy! Here's how to modify a standard report to include the data you want to report. In the top tool bar, select Reports Select Employees & Payroll Select Employee Contact List from the drop-down list Once inside the report, select Modify Report in the report tool bar In the "column" section, remove the check marks from the information choices you don't need. In the "column" section, place a check mark next to "Employee" In the "column" section, place a check mark next to "Earnings/1 Rate" This will customize the report to include only employee names & salary/wage amounts.
